Funfschilling in Fischingen

Visited with several colleagues in the late afternoon. Both the cake and steak / schnitzel etc. were all great. Also an outdoor playground for families with children. I would love to come back. Is recommended and also cult.

I liked the farm shop very much.

When we were there for the first (and last) time, it was just full, the food was not at all tasty: -> Quantity before quality, a mountain of scrambled eggs on a bread is just disgusting and it didn't look nice and the waiters had no idea what kind of cheese was available. Just terrible.

Sooo great and delicious food. The location is a dream, the cake is the best far and wide! Price / performance = no matter what time you are there, it is simply unbeatable! I have become a regular with my family!

Top breakfast location with various diverse offers and a great children's playground. You have to try the cakes! The place is very busy and always busy. Sometimes a little hectic with waiting times. The staff is friendly and courteous. There is also an organic shop in the same building.

Delicious food in an affordable price. Nice service as well. Very good behavior of wiater and waitress.

Very loud. Waited 25 minutes for the waitress. Flammwaie was cold. Has slacked off a lot. Has almost only Swiss customers. Great but for children with the playground

Was very tasty breakfast, nice service a bit could be improved, at least someone was there who delivered the food and answered grumpily. Think something is just too stressful. I was very satisfied with the food and drinks and had breakfast there on Saturday mornings

There is still room for improvement when it comes to food. The service employees seem stressed. The farm shop and the cakes are great. Good choice.

It has become the ultimate expat tourist trap for Swiss border crossers for whom price and quantity are the measuring stick over quality. In the 8 years since I first went there the prices have rocketed up while both the choice and quality have plummeted. In general one finds large servings of mediocre food at relatively high prices (given German prices are typically quite low) and the overall quality has become suspect. For example, one might expect more than a frozen steamed hamburger patty at a “farm restaurant.”

A very nice place to have breakfast, especially in summer. Good food for little money. There is a very large selection of cakes (€ 2.50) and tarts (€ 3.50). As far as I know, reservations are not possible. The Corona rules are observed very well. There is also a farm shop where you can buy vegetables, wine and schnapps.

Good quality in the farmer's shop, constantly new, additional offers. A little more expensive, but always fresh. After shopping, a glass of wine or sparkling wine from our own production. It is definitely worth trying!

Operation tip top. The sausage salad was served with a strange paprika sauce, not everyone's taste

Good food!

Most of the staff is friendly! The quality of the food varies depending on the visit. For example, last time our food was completely cold and partially wrong. Can happen, but I'll be happy to convince you again. :)

Unfortunately I didn't like it that much because it was way too full 🙂 The cake was okay 🙂 The prices are barely there 😬 The restaurant is very clean and the staff were very nice 😊👍 There are outside and inside seating 🙂 On the The restaurant has an adjacent farm shop RestaurantIn the farm shop you can find great regional products. But everyone has a different taste or feels different So decide for yourself

Five schillings is always worth a trip. 50 kilometers away from me. But whether as a family couple, it's just a great excursion. The farm shop invites you to shop. The food is great and the service great. My insider tip Rosemary bread as a starter

We recommend. The brunch was sufficient and tasty. The selection of cakes was huge. With the playground next door, it's perfect ... the children won't get bored and you can always see them from the terrace.

Excelent family place with playground nice German Beer and confort food. There is a place besides the restaurant to buy and enjoy fruits, vegetables, wine, bread and more. Very affordable prices.

Great Hangout & amazing ambience

Great place for a family visit! The tables outside under the trees are just fantastic on a sun laden afternoon or early evening. Menu is varied: kids and adults and portions are big. Consider some time for grocery and fruit shopping in season at the same time! Had a great dish: "Wildgulash", game meat gulash/stew on a bed of red cabbage and bakes vegetable strips with a pear and berry sauce. Wow! (See photo for large bowl red beet soup)

Been going here for at least 10 years - more or less since it opened. In the beginning, it was a fantastic place to meet people, enjoy good value for money food & nice atmosphere. Nowadays, you get good food very quickly but yes one feels a bit like you’ve been served- it’s done. But most staff are really friendly. In recent years, we have been trying to eat more plant based and were so happy to see a few vegan main meals offered. One thing I cannot understand & does not go with any trends in the world is the inability to offer any kind of plant/nut milk for coffee/ smoothie. If this were offered, it would turn around the breakfasts so easily - they could just offer Margarine instead of butter & there you go, a vegan breakfast or even an option of soya yogurt. In doing so, they would hit the nerve of 100s of People now eating more plant focused/ animal friendly.

Was an amazing place food was good service was friendly. Now it tripled in size service is unfriendly and the food is not half good as before what a shame

I have always ordered the same Napoleon Spaghetti and it is always good.
